Literary Death Match

Literary Death Match brings literary chaos to Land Of Kings.

4 Writers
3 Judges
2 Rounds
1 Epic Finale

Keep your wits about you, soldiers of the night. Part game show, part literary reading, Literary Death Match brings together four authors to read their most electric writing for five minutes or less before a panel of three all-star judges. It’s nestled somewhere between Gladiator and Stephen Fry, with all the competitive gore and wit that suggests. After each pair of sparring readers, the judges take turns spouting hilarious, off-beat commentary on either literary merit, performance or intangibles — and then select their favourite competitor to advance to the finals. The final two literary gladiators then compete in the Literary Death Match finale for a showdown of absurdity, humour and war-like witticisms until the victor triumphant wins the regal Literary Death Match crown. Our kingdom for a quip, etc…
