First up on the newly added list of art and interactive goings on we’re pleased to welcome Vortex Vinyl Vernacular – a buy-and-play record fair from 12pm – 6pm in Gillet Square.  Featuring a handpicked selection of independent traders and collectors, diggers can even play their new purchases on Vortex Jazz Club’s turntables.  Meanwhile, Eastern Curve gets taken over to become a cocktail den with live folk music by The Nest Collective and, on Dalston Roof Park, The Lost Picture show present their “Film Soundtrack Karaoke”.   Last but never least, following on from her acclaimed Greasy Spoon makeover at the festival in 2012, LAND OF KINGS welcomes back Hackney design Queen and bastion of positivity Camille Walala for a special commission ‘The Walala UV Room’ as well as lending her boldly graphic visuals (see pic for e.g) and Art Direction wizardry to the Ashwin Street hub of the festival.
