The Austerity Games

Hear something about some sporting event going on in East London this summer? Nah, us neither. What we did hear about is The Austerity Games, a night of Olympian tasks planned to test the mettle of the LOK goers, all hosted in a post-war bunker by curator Gillian Fox. Taking influence from the 1948 London Olympics – nicknamed the Austerity Games due to the lack of cash flow in the country time – hmmm, well, seems like an appropriate to resurrect and pay homage to the cheap ‘n’ cheerful sporting times.
